We have a fantastic opportunity for a Membership Secretary to join a Global Corporate Environmental Company based in the Heart of the City. The purpose of the role is to support the Senior Membership Secretary to maintain accurate records of Membership and Fixed Premium P&I Associate vessel details, to improve the membership database, to carry out due diligence, and to provide training and engage with stakeholders.

This role is a hybrid role with the role being split 50% in the office and 50% at home. Salary c£42,000 but they will be flexible for the right person, plus excellent benefits to include 30% non contributory pension.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the membership inbox, actioning any urgent points in a timely and efficient manner, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, so strong communication and people skills are key for this role. In this role you will create and maintain accurate membership records, ensuring all files are kept up to date, creating new accounts, updating information and liaising with members to gain further information. Analytical skills are also key in this role as you will be required to analyse information and produce concise reports and management information around the membership and associates. You will assist the Membership Secretary with projects which will help improve the membership database, you will also assist on the creation of presentations ensuring that you are up to date on industry news.
Requirements

Requirements: • Significant experience in membership/customer service (ideally 3-5 years), including o due diligence, risk & compliance o data management and record keeping o database administration & improvement (Apex Oracle preferred)

• Experience in a relevant sector (not for profit, maritime/shipping, insurance, oil spill response, protection of the marine environment) • Confident in creating and delivering reports and presentations • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite • Awareness of the impact of sanctions on the maritime industry (preferred) • Proficient in the use of risk and compliance tools and software (Seasearcher preferred)
